Running from February 15 to 22, the event showcases the latest models from leading Turkish and international brands, with over 300 boats, 1,500 brands, and 250 exhibitors participating.

Organized by YATED (Yacht ve Boat Industry Association) in collaboration with ED Fuarcılık and sponsored by GİSBİR, the event is held with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Transport, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Chamber of Shipping, and GYHİB (Ship, Yacht & Services Exporters' Association).

Industry Leaders Address Sector Strengths and Challenges

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Murat Bekiroğlu, President of YATED, emphasized the Turkish yacht industry's strong capabilities in both manufacturing and exports, positioning the country as a key player in the global market.

Cem Seven, President of GYHİB, acknowledged the growing competitive pressures faced by Turkish yacht builders, particularly against Chinese manufacturers. He noted that China’s ongoing deflation and price reductions, coupled with the recent strengthening of the Turkish lira, are making it increasingly difficult for Turkish exporters to remain price-competitive.

Tamer Kıran, President of the Turkish Chamber of Shipping, reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to maintaining Turkey’s position as a global leader in the maritime sector, ensuring continued growth and international recognition.
